
* here's a nice photo set from November's Utopiales 2011 show. You can always tell a European festival photo set from a North American photo set because in a European festival photo set at least two male cartoonists are wearing scarves -- and looking good doing so.

* Kapow! has launched its 2012 ticket sales campaign.
* finally, the French-language comics industry news clearinghouse ActuaBD.com has a brief up on the charitable efforts of this year's BD Boum in Blois. They apparently organized visits to a nearby prison for a sizable group of cartoonists, and raise money for the fight against illiteracy. The latter seems to be a pet issue for the show.
