Despite any and all unfortunate to short-sighted outcomes that crowd-funding tools may help facilitate, it's hard to deny that they're an overall good when you see a cartoonist as consistently right-on as Matt Bors has been the last couple of years get a leg up going directly to patrons that he simply wasn't getting from traditional models. I'm happy for Bors, and I'm happier for the cartooning culture that gets the full-time benefit of his skills.I think for the first time ever now I can say it: full time editorial cartoonist.
